PAGE ONE

3 vertical panels

PANEL ONE – Rain pouring down, shot of an alleyway.  A rat forages through some garbage.  Large puddle in center.

SFX: SKRITCH, SKRITCH

PANEL TWO – Same as before, but rat looks over it’s shoulder (to left side of panel).  Rain strikes large puddle.

SFX: SPLASH, SPLASH

PANEL THREE – Rat is gone, man’s bare leg runs into panel from left, his bare foot solidly in puddle, splashing water everywhere.

SFX: SPLASH!

PANEL ONE (splash) – Man runs down alleyway, dressed in flannel nightshirt, barefoot.  He’s bald, with facial hair (van dyke – goatee and moustache).  He’s panting, and his face is full of terror.

SFX: PANT, PANT, PANT (upper part of panel)

SFX: SPLASH (lower part of panel)

Seven panels

PANEL ONE – Close up on man, profile (he’s facing right side of panel) of rain hitting his bald head and face. 

SFX: PANT

PANEL TWO – Same as before, but eyes wide with terror.  Rain hits in different places.

SFX: (to left, designating its behind him) SNARL

PANEL THREE – Pull back to see upper body.  Man looks over shoulder, behind him.  Eyes and mouth wide in terror at what he sees.

PANEL FOUR – We see what he sees – two giant wolves loping down the alley after him.  They’re four feet tall at head, easily six feet long.  These are monster-wolves, glowing red eyes, huge teeth with drool hanging out of mouths.  Their fur is dark and oily looking. 

SFX: GROWL

PANEL FIVE – Wide panel; side view of alley, man running left to right (he’s in center), wolves pursuing at left side.  To right side, another alley is visible, connecting to current alley.

SFX: SPLASH

SFX: PANT

SFX: SNARL (by wolves)

PANEL SIX – view from behind wolves; man’s lower body is seen as he darts to left down side alley. 

PANEL SEVEN – view from down side alley, facing man.  He’s tripping on debris scattered in alleyway, heading for a fall, his face contorted in pain and fear.

SFX: CRASH

SFX: beep

PAGE FOUR

PANEL ONE – Closeup on man’s face, filled with horror.  He’s lying on the alley ground, his face wet and dirty, lip bloodied.

SFX: SNARL

SFX: beep

PANEL TWO – We’re back in original alley, looking at entrance to side alley, from an angle, so we can’t see down into the side alley.

SFX: AIEEEEEEEEEE!

SFX: beep

PANEL THREE – Closeup on man’s face.  His eyes are wide, his face dry and clean. 

SFX: beep

PANEL FOUR – Pull back, overhead view of man laying in bed, covers up to his chest; he’s wearing the same nightshirt.  On a nightstand is an alarm clock.  His face is still one of shock.

SFX: beep

PANEL FIVE – Man’s sitting up in bed, looking at alarm, rubbing his head with his left hand.

SFX: beep beep

PANEL SIX – Closeup of alarm clock.  Time is 11:09.  Man’s hand pressing button on top.

SFX: click

PANEL SEVEN – Closeup of coffee machine, coffee brewing, pouring into pot, which is half full. 

SFX: PERK

PANEL EIGHT – Man sitting at computer, typing.  Coffee mug next to computer, steam rising from mug. 

SFX: tak tak tak tak

PANEL NINE – Closeup on computer screen.
